New daily persistent headache is a primary disorder with no other underlying causes. It is caused for a minimum of 4 hours everyday lasting around 3 months.

New daily persistent headache or a normal pain:

  • Don’t skip meals- Eat healthy meals at about the same time daily. Avoid food and drinks, such as those containing caffeine, that seem to trigger headaches. Lose weight if you’re obese.

  • Reduce caffeine- While sometimes headaches medications include caffeine because it can be beneficial in reducing headache pain, it can also aggravate headaches. Try to minimize or eliminate caffeine from your diet.
